On April 11, 2024 K-State, along with other universities/colleges across the country, was informed that the U.S. Department of Education (ED) is in its final “testing” phase of allowing students as well as other FAFSA form contributors to make corrections to their 2024-25 FAFSA.

This ability to make needed corrections, according to ED, will be broadly available beginning the week of April 15th.

K-State’s Office of Student Financial Assistance, urges all students/families that have been alerted on their FAFSA Submission Summary that corrections to their 2024-25 FAFSA need to be made by logging into their account.

The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) began to receive the first FAFSA files processed by the U.S. Department of Education (ED) for the 2024-25 on March 13, 2024. Since that time, ED has continued to send more FAFSA files as they worked through the backlog of FAFSA applications that had been submitted by students and their families since the end of December 2023.

While the university has received the first 2024-25 FAFSA files, the updates to and testing in our student information system, KSIS, are still being performed before the records can be available for us to begin processing.
