I recently received my appointment as an instructor in the Social Work Department effective January 14, 2008. Prior to coming on board I worked in several social service positions to include an internship at Banner Thunderbird Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona while finishing my graduate work in 2006.

Other experiences include: Academic Services Coordinator for the Upward Bound Program at Kansas State University ; Child Protective Services Investigator for the State of Georgia ; Manager, Grievances and Appeal for Value Options (equivalent to SRS here), Phoenix , Arizona ; Site Coordinator and manager of a 14-bed and 8-bed assistant living facility for adult clients with serious mental illness (SMI).

Social Work is my second career as I am retired from the military: Twenty year active duty with the United States Army 1974-1994.
