Dr. Weyher joined the faculty at K-State in the Fall of 2004. He has published work in the following journals: The American Journal of Sociology and Labor History . He was awarded (with Maurice Zeitlin) the 2002 Distinguished Contribution to Scholarship Award, Honorable Mention, from the Political Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association for their (2001, AJS ) article: "Black and White, Unite and Fight: Interracial Working-Class Solidarity and Racial Employment Equality." Other work (with David Halle) has appeared in the Blackwell Companion to the Sociology of Culture . He has presented his work at regional, national, and international sociological and interdisciplinary conferences. His current research is in the areas of: labor history, inequality, theory, culture, and the sociology of emotions. He teaches courses in Social Theory, Urban Sociology, the Sociology of Culture, the Sociology of Emotions, and Labor History.
