Dr. Michael Finnegan is Professor of Anthropology at Kansas State University and a consultant in Forensic Anthropology. He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado and held postdoctoral fellowships at the Smithsonian Institution. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and a past President, of the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. He has published numerous articles on theory, method and application of osteological analysis in population studies and forensic applications. He has worked or conducted research on all seven continents. Finnegan is a recipient of the William L. Stamey Teaching Award in undergraduate instruction; the Kansas Attorney General's Certificate of Merit; the Bbartucz Llajos Award from the University of Szeged, Hungary; the Outstanding Senior Scientist Award from Sigma Xi, and the T. Dale Stewart Award in Physical Anthropology from the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
