The Department of Environmental
Health & Safety is responsible for compliance
issues related to environmental health and safety.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Environmental management (air, water, & waste)
- Ionizing & non-ionizing radiation
- Sanitation and water quality
- Fire prevention and emergency equipment
- Accident prevention and investigation
- Occupational safety and health
- Industrial hygiene and toxicology
- Indoor air quality and "sick building syndrome"
- Asbestos & PCB's (TSCA)
- Laboratory safety & chemical hygiene
