Transcripts

What is a transcript?

A transcript is a certified, official copy of your permanent record. In accordance with the Public Information Act and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, student academic records are classified as confidential and may be released only with the student's written authorization and signature.

Processing Time

The standard processing time for transcripts is 48 hours and up to 72 hours depending on extenuating circumstances. After the first of September, transcripts requested by active students will be printed from iSIS. To ensure accuracy of this new transcript, the Registrar’s Office staff will closely review every transcript prior to release which may cause a slight delay in the release.

Transcript Fee
  • Currently Enrolled Student: Effective July 1, 2006, transcripts will be available at no charge to currently enrolled students. If you are or you represent a third party requesting an academic transcript for a student currently enrolled at K-State, then a charge of $8.00 is assessed for each academic transcript requested, to be paid in advance by cash, check (payable to Kansas State University), money order, or credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa).
  • Non-Enrolled Student: If you are not currently enrolled then a charge of $8.00 is assessed for each academic transcript requested, to be paid in advance by cash, check (payable to Kansas State University), money order, or credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa).
Mailing/Fax Charges

There is no additional mailing charge if the transcript is sent by regular mail. Regardless of student status, fees will be charged for any additional services. US Priority mailing charge (continental USA only) is $5.00 per envelope with a 2-3 day delivery and Federal Express mail delivery charge is $15.00 per envelope with next day delivery. Faxing charge for a transcript is $5.00/per fax order plus the fee of each transcript (see Transcript Fee).
