Areas of Wellness

emotional wellnessEmotional

Emotional wellness involves awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is the ability to connect these individual feelings and behaviors to your outlook on life. It is practiced through attentiveness to both positive and negative feelings and how you react to situations with a focus on improving the situation in the future.

environmental wellnessEnvironmental

Environmental wellness encourages the connection between our actions and the health of the environment in which we work, live, and play. Individuals can practice environmental wellness by being attentive to their actions, and by making small (and big!) changes to positively impact the world around them.

financial wellnessFinancial

Financial wellness involves your daily financial actions as well as your short and long term plans. It can be practiced through education, budgeting, and financial planning.

intellectual wellnessIntellectual

Intellectual wellness is the ability to open our minds to new concepts, ideas, perspectives and cultures. This can be practiced through the continuation of learning and focus on broadening and deepening your knowledge about the world.

occupational wellnessOccupational

Occupational wellness is the ability to get fulfillment from your jobs or career and maintaining balance in your personal life. This can be practiced through day-to-day work and focusing on talents within your personal and work life.

physical wellnessPhysical

Physical wellness includes how we treat our bodies. The food you eat, your daily exercise, and your health habits all contribute to your physical wellness status. Progress in physical wellness can be addressed by exercising, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and practicing meditation.

social wellnessSocial

Social wellness is your ability to positively interact with those around you. It can be practiced through positive connections, respect of yourself and others, and creating meaningful relationships.

spiritual wellnessSpiritual

Spiritual wellness is the values and beliefs that drive purpose in our lives. This can be practiced through looking at your personal values and how they align with your feelings on the meaning of life.
