Julie Yu joins the Kansas State music faculty this year as Director of Choral Activities. Dr. Yu received the Bachelor of Music degree in music education from the University of Central Oklahoma, Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Oklahoma State University, and the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting at the University of North Texas.
Before joining the Kansas State music faculty, Dr. Yu was the Director of Choral Activities at San José State University, director of the Women's Chorus and instructor of conducting at the University of North Texas and served on the faculty/staff at Oklahoma State University, the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian University of Arts and Sciences. Prior to this she was a choir director at Norman North High School in Norman, OK.
