Teri Holmberg, MA, MT-BC, earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas, and a Master of Arts degree in Music Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She is a Board-Certified music therapist, specializing in working with children with developmental and physical disabilities. She began her practice as a music therapist in the Lewisville Independent School District in Lewisville, TX in 1996, and has developed new music therapy programs at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and the Fruitport, Oakridge, and Muskegon Public Schools in Michigan. In 2001, Ms. Holmberg founded a music camp for children with Williams Syndrome in cooperation with the Williams Syndrome Association. Ms. Holmberg has also provided consultative services for students and training in music therapy techniques to classroom teachers and special education programs in school districts throughout Texas and Michigan. Currently, she is developing a music therapy program for Hoeflin Stone House on the campus of Kansas State University, and will be teaching a course on music therapy at the University during the spring 2008 semester.
