  • Part-Time Opportunities Fair. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Ballroom, K-State Student Union. Visit with representatives from campus departments, local businesses, and community agencies. Learn about part-time jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities. Promoted by Career and Employment Services.
  • Wildcat Welcome Day. 3 to 9 p.m., K-State Alumni Center. New students are invited for free ice cream floats and to register for prizes including a $250 textbook scholarship. Learn about the Alumni Association's student programs including Wildcats Forever, Student Alumni Board and Homecoming week.
  • Purple Power Play on Poyntz. 5 to 9:30 p.m., Poyntz Avenue, downtown Manhattan. Celebrate the upcoming football season. This two day pep rally includes an inflatable carnival, food, games and live music and entertainment followed by a pep rally on Friday night. Children can have their pictures taken with Willie the Wildcat 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday inside Manhattan Town Center.
  • Union Expo & Activities Carnival. 6 to 8 p.m., Courtyard, K-State Student Union. Test your super human strength with novelty games, enjoy free Pepsi products, Shawn the Balloon Guy, check out 200 student organizations, live music Fate of Angels at 6:30 p.m. in the Bosco Student Plaza, and more.
  • Performance series: Golden Dragon Acrobats. 7 p.m., McCain Auditorium. The Golden Dragon Acrobats represent the best of a time honored tradition that began more than twenty seven centuries ago. Ticket information or call 532-6428.
  • Film: Iron Man. 9 p.m., Bosco Student Plaza, K-State Student Union. Admission free. Sponsored by the Union Program Council.
