Undergraduate Advising

General Information
Descriptions of the program, including course offerings, faculty members, degree requirements, and other vital information are in the latest copy of the K-State Undergraduate Catalog. English Faculty teaching and research interests, along with e-mail links and telephone numbers, are located on the English Department's Faculty Page. For a page of advising resources, please see Links to On-Line Advising Information.

Do contact the Lead Advisor, Carol Franko, 532-2157 to be assigned an advisor if you don't have one already. Advisors provide knowledgeable help in deciding what courses to take, what careers to consider, and other invaluable information.

Advising and Enrolling
The English Department's lead advisor assigns faculty members as advisors to its majors. Advisors assist students in preparing their enrollment schedules, in adjusting to the demands of university life, in planning for post-graduate careers, and in sharpening their skills in the discipline of English.

The Department strongly urges all majors to seek advising for early enrollment each semester. Students who enroll without advising assistance can make mistakes they will regret when graduation checks are done.
