Children's and Adolescent Literature; Contemporary British Literature; Women's Studies; Shakespeare

Erica Hateley specializes in Children’s and Adolescent Literature, with a secondary interest in Contemporary British Literature. She is particularly interested in questions of adaptation, appropriation, and canonicity. Hateley has published articles in the fields of Shakespeare Studies, Children’s Literature, Contemporary British Literature, and Popular Culture. In 2008 her book, Shakespeare in Children’s Literature: Gender and Cultural Capital, will be published by Routledge.
