Introduction to Supervision

Course number WTD077

Overview
This program is mandated by the State of Kansas and Kansas State University for all classified supervisory personnel. It is to be completed within six months of the original appointment. Newly appointed supervisors must complete a minimum of fifteen hours of supervisory training to be certified and appointed to "regular" status.

Those enrolled in Introduction to Supervision should be full-time employees of the State of Kansas and currently supervising classified employees or serving as a lead worker. Faculty and unclassified staff who supervise are also welcome. Contact at training@ksu.edu to register. Please include your name, position, department, employee ID number, and immediate supervisors name. Your registration will be confirmed by e-mail response to the sender.

The series provides new supervisors with practical leadership skills and an increased awareness of university policies and procedures.
