How
to purchase text books
The
SVS program uses the PASO A PASO text series. Curricular materials may
be purchased from your state book depository (if you have one), directly
from the publisher, or from used textbook companies.
ISBN codes are supplied for student and teacher curricular materials. If you are ordering from a source other than the publisher, please use the ISBN codes listed. All codes begin with 0-673.
Free
offer with quantity purchase
With
an order of twenty-five (25) PASO A PASO 1 or PASO A PASO 2
student texts ordered from the publisher, you may request one free
corresponding Teacher's Edition. Spanish via Satellite has purchased the
testing program, and obtained broadcast rights to the video portion of
the PASO A PASO series. Schools do not have to purchase these components.
Previous
SVS participation
Schools that have previously participated in SVS should already have some
or all of these materials. The only consumable items are the two workbooks
which will need to be replaced annually. You
will need to order one of each of the two workbooks for each student enrolled
in the course.

Timely
ordering is critical
Following the syllabus keeps your school on schedule with the Spanish
via Satellite program and ensures a higher student success rate. It is
crucial all materials be ordered and received prior to the first day of
class.
For each student enrolled in Spanish I or Spanish II, participating schools must order the respective materials directly from the publisher, or other source.
Spanish I materials: Spanish II materials: PASO A PASO 1 PASO A PASO 2 (Chapters PP - Chapter 9) (Chapters 10-14) Chapters 1-5 Student textbook Student textbook Writing, Audio & Video Activity Workbook (WAVA) Writing, Audio & Video Activity Workbook (WAVA) Practice Workbook Practice Workbook Teaching Partner materials: Order: Teacher's Edition of the textbook and workbooks for each Spanish I and/or Spanish II Teaching Partner at your school. Each school will need to order the audio component in either the cassette or CD format for each level of Spanish offered. For durability and sound quality, the CD is strongly recommended.
