Housing and Dining Services at K-State is responsible for making reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities; however, a student must have completed an application and have been accepted for housing
Students are recommended to arrange for a residence hall tour before making any decisions about housing. The housing contract provides an opportunity for a student with a disability to describe needed accommodations.
Housing and Dining Services will make reasonable accommodations based on the needs of individual students; examples include alternative fire alarms and doorbells for hearing impaired students, alteration of rooms, and close parking. Maintenance personnel will meet with the student to discuss particular needs.
