Adaptive Technology

Adaptive Technology (sometimes called Assistive Technology) includes hardware or software designed to provide improved information access for individuals with disabilities.For example, the Adaptive Technology Lab features screen reading software that makes a computer accessible to individuals who are blind or have reading disabilities.

K-State Adaptive Technology Lab


The Adaptive Technology Lab, available to students with disabilities, is located in Hale Library 213. Individual assistance and training is available by contacting DSS to make an appointment.

Manhattan Assistive Technology Center

The Assistive Technology Center is located in the Manhattan Public Library and offers both training and services in the use of assistive technology.
