The Accounting Section operates the Financial Accounting System and reconciles with the State Accounting System. This area pre-audits payments for compliance, receives and distributes warrants, and ensures all financial transactions are properly recorded in the state and university accounting systems. Approximately 200,000 accounting transactions are reviewed and processed by this section each year. In addition they prepare and distribute monthly financial reports for approximately 8,000 university accounts and maintain 23,000 vendor names and addresses.
