Available Positions KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT Term Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry The Department of Chemistry at Kansas State University (www.ksu.edu/chem) invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Organic Chemistry for the 2009-2010 academic year. We seek an outstanding instructor to teach core undergraduate lectures in Organic Chemistry (Organic I and II) as well as two semesters of a one-semester General Organic Chemistry lecture course. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (ABD candidates may be considered). Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach effectively in undergraduate core courses. There will be opportunity to conduct research in collaboration with a faculty member once teaching duties are met. The initial appointment will be for a one year term with a possibility of a second year term contingent upon performance and availability of funding.
