Yasmin Patell again named to ACS Division of Chemical Education’s Examinations Institute

Dr. Yasmin Patell has been again named a member of the ACS Examinations Institute, the committee charged with the responsibility of producing the 2015 General Chemistry Examination. This is the exam taken by thousands of students nationwide, and is often used by colleges and universities as their benchmark for assessing instructional effectiveness and student learning. This is Yasmin’s eighth consecutive year to hold such an appointment (and that surely speaks volumes about her instructional effectiveness).

Dr. Thomas Holme, the Institute’s Director, writes: “Appointment to this committee is a significant recognition of stature in the chemistry education community, and is an important, creative professional activity. I am sure that you are pleased to have outstanding individuals such as Yasmin as a member of your faculty.”

You are exactly correct, Dr. Holme.
