Christer Aakeröy has been working in the field of crystal engineering for 15 years, and his current research interests include the examination of hydrogen bonding in the solid-state to develop strategies that employ hydrogen bonding as a tool for designing organic and inorganic crystalline materials, and the exploration between internal architecture, external appearance and performance of crystalline materials.
