Kansas
State University is proud to have the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Phi Lambda Upsilon (PLU), the national
Honorary Chemical Society. The chapter promotes chemistry through the sponsorship of scholarly and
social activities. Its annual fall picnic is designed to introduce new students and faculty to the existing members
of the department. Each spring, PLU sponsors the "PLU Lecture Series" and hosts a scholarship awards ceremony
in an effort to support and acknowledge outstanding achievement in the field of Chemistry. Past lecture
speakers, award winners, chapter members and a brief history of the organization can be found by clicking
on the links below. In addition to supporting scholastics at KSU, PLU awards several travel scholarships to
its members each year. PLU is very proud part of the Chemistry Department and supports itself by raising
funds through the sale of chemistry laboratory manuals at the start of each semester.
