Bacterial Pathogenesis Microbiology or Host-Bacterial Interactions


The Division of Biology of Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning in the 2010-2011 academic year.  We seek an individual who will establish a strong, extramurally funded research program in the general area of bacterial pathogenesis microbiology or host-bacterial interactions.  The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate instruction in microbiology, as well as, graduate instruction in areas of interest.  A Ph.D. or equivalent and postdoctoral training are required.  The position will include a competitive salary and start-up package.  The Division of Biology is a large, diverse unit with a strong record of research productivity and funding with investigators in molecular and cellular areas of microbiology, virology, immunology, genetics, plant and animal development, and ecological research.
