Below is a picture of the first incarnation of Biology 198 - Principles of Biology. It was taught, using the then-innovative audio-tutorial format, in the same room (Ackert 219). This picture was probably taken within a year or two after the building was completed in 1970.
Students did not have the benefit of modern technology; this black-and-white photograph indicates that color photons had not yet made it to Kansas... Hopefully this image will help you understand that things have changed for the better with the introduction of the studio format, both in regard to technology and student fashion sensibilities!
