The
Bilingual Education Student Organization (BESO) is
a nationally recognized organization
in
many universities throughout the US. The original BESO
organization was founded in theearly 1980's
by
bilingual education students who wanted to form a club/organization
that was both community service
oriented
as well as supportive of the professional growth of its
members. BESO traditionally raises funds
for
the purpose of scholarships (for traditional and non-traditional
bilingual education students) and to
attend
NABE, the National Association of Bilingual Education
Conference. BESO has performed
Nationally
telling the stories of many through student centered
Monologues. |
