Beocat is a cluster in the CIS Department of the College of Engineering at Kansas State University. The project is overseen by Dr. Andresen and managed by Aaron Tygart. All systems are running Gentoo Linux with a 2.6 kernel . They are diskless, using PXE to boot and a union of an nfs share as the root partition. The cluster fileserver has 4.5TB of space with 1.0TB allocated to home directories and 1.0TB allocated to a scratch disk.
We currently have 48 nodes totalling 244 processors and 764GB of ram. Check Systems List for more detailed information on the hardware.
