STATEMENT:

Symbols are combined in this work and placed within the context of nature or intimate landscape settings with the goal of providing a reflective experience. This experience can be perceived of as sensual, mysterious, melancholy or at its best provide insight into the human condition. The symbols/objects placed within each visual field feed off each other to create an silent communication or connection. The symbols create a hierarchy of visual importance which is interpreted visually and sometimes conceptually. The viewer, if willing, should find an emotional connection or a constructed personal narrative within the digital field. This work, without a view of the human form, is intended to express the spirit of our contemporary existence.
