Dr. Dow's research interests center on issues of collective patronage, the production and consumption of art by non-elites, and the professional and social networks of artists in the Late Renaissance. He is currently working on several articles and a book-length project that are based on his dissertation research into the sixteenth-century art patronage of confraternities in Florence.
